CEO of BOAZ Enterprises

As CEO of BOAZ Enterprises, LaTonya J. Pegues brings a wealth of experience and non-traditional solutions to BOAZ Enterprises clientele. After working in the aerospace and telecommunications industries in a variety of positions; including satellite and missions engineer, low temperature physics researcher, and communications/ PR expert, she founded and started BOAZ Enterprises a training, consulting, and communications firm in the year 2000.  Under her leadership, BOAZ Enterprises has provided services for clients in Africa, Asia, Europe, and throughout North America.      

 BOAZ Enterprises has provided services for the City of Los Angeles, City of Austin, City of Hopewell Bureau of Fire, City of Buda,  City of Lancaster, City of Rohnert Park, Town of Erie, 3CMA,  the Housing Authority of the City of Austin, International County/City Management Association University (ICMA), Texas City/County Management Association William "King" Cole series (TCMA),  NASA, Google, and numerous others.  

 LaTonya is known as, "The Unconscious Bias Trainer."  She was a 2018 South by Southwest (SXSW) keynote speaker on Unconscious Bias.  Her session was one of the top ten searched sessions in the interactive festival that year.  In addition, she was an Unconscious Bias panelist during the National Diversity Council's conference where President Barack Obama, and General Colin Powell gave keynote addresses.

 LaTonya is a strong believer in community involvement and economic empowerment.  She has served as a Metro Ambassador in the Capital Metropolitan Transit Authority Metro Ambassador program, a visiting professor in the National Urban League' Black Executive Exchange Program, sits on the University of Texas Club Ambassador’s Council, is a member of the SXSW Advisory Board, a frequent trainer in youth STEM programs, a mentor in the Young Women of Destiny program, and is an Austin chapter NAACP Community Service Award winner.  

 LaTonya is a proud graduate of Howard University, based in Washington, D.C, where she studied physics and mathematics. She was a National Institute of Health funded Minority Access to Research Careers scholar who conducted scientific research in the laboratory and presented her work and made presentations at Physics conferences including at Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  She is a graduate of the Essentials class of Leadership Austin and is an alumna from Dartmouth's Tuck School of Business Executive Education in association with Google where she received their Digital Excellence Program Certification.
