Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture and society and has been observed annually in the month of March in the United States since 1987. Women’s History Month 2021 will take place from Monday, March 1-Wednesday, March 31, 2021. (www.history.com)

We start with women that have made contributions in the military from past, present, and future.. These women serve us in protecting our country and deserve much recognition for their continued service to US of America Armed forces.

We Celebrate:

Nadja Y. West

(1982-2019, Retired)

West is the first Army black female lieutenant general. She is the highest-ranking woman to have graduated from the United States Military Academy. West is also the first Army black female lieutenant general. She is the highest-ranking woman to have graduated from the United States Military Academy.
